Anne Rue’s eye for design and practical style has helped Anne Rue Interiors ascend as one of the leading interior design firms for residential, hospitality, multifamily, and senior living communities around the country. Since launching Anne Rue Interiors in 2001, her success has attracted the attention of high-profile clients and television producers alike — her résumé includes appearances on Travel Channel’s “Hotel Impossible” and HGTV’s “Design Star.”
Anne’s business remained healthy and strong through the recession, despite a tumultuous real estate market. With the economic recovery came increased demand for her team’s stylish touch. Suddenly, the space Anne was renting seemed too small to support the company’s continued growth.
“I had a big picture of where I wanted go to,” said Anne. “By the time I figured out what it would take to go and rent another space, including the build-out to make it work, I thought, why wouldn’t I just buy a building?”
That’s exactly what she did. Anne worked with a real estate professional to find the perfect building for her company’s next phase: a warehouse that would double her team’s workspace, with plenty of room for storage and parking. All she needed was the financing to turn her vision into a reality.

“We really thought we’d have a showroom up front. Someday we might, but because of the growth in our multifamily housing market, even our storage area isn’t big enough. Now we’ve converted our showroom into storage because we’re taking on bigger projects,” explained Anne. “It’s worked out great. Now, we have a conference room to meet with clients and vendors. We’ve been able to add more full-time employees and an intern.”
Just as Anne helps her clients reevaluate their perspective on décor, she credits Premium Investors Bank with changing her understanding of what a lender-client relationship could be.
“I had an absolutely great experience,” she said. “Even though my business was healthy, there were struggles and bumps in the road. We didn’t have any debt, but we needed money to be able to expand.
